UAA's Dental Clinic serves up smiles and free services
by Jessica Degnan |
Each year, UAA dental hygiene students dedicate their time to giving back to the community by offering free preventive dental care for youth ages 3 to 17 at the UAA Dental Clinic. This initiative includes essential services such as dental exams, x-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants—all provided at no cost. The treatments are delivered by UAA dental hygiene students under the careful supervision of licensed dentists and hygienists. This event not only allows students to contribute to a meaningful humanitarian effort but also helps them accumulate the practical experience required for their degree. Remember, our UAA Dental Clinic offers affordable services every fall and spring semester!
