Matt Thomas, who recently led the ECHL Stockton Thunder to the Kelly Cup Finals, has been named UAA’s new head hockey coach.
Jeff Hoffman, a mechanical engineering professor at UAA, created a 3D model from the CT scan of the crushed face of an injured Soldotna man. Anchorage surgeon James Kallman used that model to help shape titanium mesh implants to restore structure to the man's face. The patient is recovering well.
