North to the Future: Opportunities and Change in Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ's Emerging Frontiers

"North to the Future: Opportunities and Change in Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ's Emerging Frontiers" addressed the rapidly evolving changes in Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ and the Arctic, and the challenges presented to Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ's leaders and institutions in addressing the legal issues associated with economic development, climate change, and social and cultural impacts.

The symposium, sponsored by the Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ Law Review, the Arctic Law Section of the Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ Bar Association, and the UAA Justice Center, was held Oct. 16, 2014, at the UAA/APU Consortium Library on the University of Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ Anchorage (UAA) campus. Ryan Fortson, J.D., Ph.D., Legal Studies faculty in the UAA Justice Center, was the faculty advisor for this event. The Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ Bar Association approved this symposium for 4.5 hours of general CLE credit.
