Graduate Programs Admission Requirements

Note: The admission cycle for the Master of Science FNP and PMHNP and the FNP and PMHNP Post-Master’s Certificate is moving to Fall 2025. The new application deadline is 8:00 a.m. AKST on February 3, 2025. Admission decisions will be announced by April 30, 2025.

We apologize if this causes a significant change in your plans and hope to see your application in the Spring. If you decide to withdraw your application, the application fee will be refunded. You are encouraged to re-visit the application page as there will be a new process for applying posted on or before September 30, 2024. If you have already paid the application fee, it will be applied to the new cycle.

Please contact Dr. Susan Tavernier (sstavernier@alaska.edu) if you have questions or concerns.

Applicants will be considered for program admission on a competitive basis; meeting all admission criteria does not guarantee admission. Special consideration may be given to candidates with clinical expertise, proficiency in other languages, knowledge of other cultures, and a proven record of professional contributions. This information should be documented in the resumè portion of the application. To the extent that there are limited seats available in the program, preference may be given to residents of the state of Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ as defined by the university’s policy on residency for tuition purposes.
