Biography

Lindsey Marsaw, PTA, ASTYM, SFMA, FMS is from Port Angeles, WA. She completed her Bachelors of Science degree from Linfield University in Exercise and Sports Science, and after graduation, she continued working on her Master’s degree at Oregon State University in Exercise Science and Nutrition with an emphasis of teaching. She earned her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Pima Medical Institute in Seattle, WA in 2015. Lindsey currently works as a PTA in Anchorage, and works as faculty of the Â鶹ÎÞÂë°æ Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.

Lindsey has an extensive background in sports and exercise experience, which includes participating in women’s basketball at the collegiate level, as well as having had the opportunity to work as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the WNBA’s Seattle Storm. Additionally, she has obtained certifications as a Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine, and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Outside of her background in sports and exercise experience, Lindsey has focused on obtaining certifications with ASTYM (Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), SFMA (Screening of Functional Movement Systems), and FMS (Functional Movement Systems). These are tools she utilizes towards addressing each individual patient specifically in regards to any previous injuries, dysfunctional movement patterns, soft tissue disorders, and tendinopathies.

Beyond the world of physical therapy, sports and exercise background, Lindsey loves spending time outdoors, riding her motorcycle, and traveling as often as possible. She also enjoys spending time with her Partner, family, friends, and her dogs Marley, and Gabe.
