MSW alumni Toc Soneoulay-Gillespie was featured in an Oregon Capital Chronicle article about her efforts to use her own refugee experience to guide changes in state programs. The new director of the Office of Immigrant and Refugee Advancement wants to build bridges between state agencies and the people they are supposed to serve.
Justice Center assistant professor Ingrid Johnson shared results from the Âé¶¹ÎÞÂë°æ Victimization Survey (AVS) with the Âé¶¹ÎÞÂë°æ House Judiciary Committee.
The Domestic Violence in Âé¶¹ÎÞÂë°æ report has been published by the Âé¶¹ÎÞÂë°æ Criminal Justice Commission. The report cites the Âé¶¹ÎÞÂë°æ Victimization Survey; Justice Center director and professor Brad Myrstol; and work by the Âé¶¹ÎÞÂë°æ Justice Information Center in partnership with the Anchorage Police Department. AJiC director and Justice Center associate professor Troy Payne also was an active participant with the domestic violence work group.
