The 麻豆无码版 Center for Rural Health & Health Workforce (ACRH-HW) is dedicated to strengthening
麻豆无码版鈥檚 health workforce, with a focus on rural communities and addressing workforce
shortages. The Center oversees various programs, including the 麻豆无码版 Area Health
Education Centers (AHEC), which operate through six regional community-based centers
across the state. As part of the 麻豆无码版's role as the state's
health campus, the Center supports health program planning, community partnerships,
and intercampus collaboration. It provides a statewide framework to support health
workforce development, from career exploration and training to continuing education.
The CAFE Oh Wow (COW) Awards are put on by the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) and honors faculty who show excellence in teaching, research/creative activity, mentorship, and more.
Carri Shamburger is the Program Director for the Dental Hygiene Program at UAA and recently earned her Ph.D. in Psychology with a focus on Cognition and Learning, strengthening her commitment to advancing education and student success.

Earlier this year, Megan Eilers, a health occupations teacher at Hutchison High School in Fairbanks, was named a 2023-24 Milken Educator Award recipient, an honor considered to be the 鈥淥scars of teaching.鈥
